Nikon Cameras 1946 To circa 199? George Eastman House Technology Archive

Click here,George Eastman House Exhibit to view thumbnails of each model, then click on each to get specific information of model selected.

It's interesting to note that the F3 and the FM models, (forward), were designed by an Italian dude named Giorgio Giugiaro.

SInce the Nikon F, FM, F3, were literally designed with professionals in mind, I thought that the omission of the F36, and MD-20 motors bothered me a bit, as well as the ones I can't remember. Anyone want to help an old geezer out with the model # of motor for the F2, FM, & FM2?

Nice find!

I know we've been through the like before, but I miss film.

Years ago I shot a lot of movie film. I had to jump through hoops trying to track down Super-8 cartridges. Film schools have kept 16mm going, but 8... it's pretty much gone. I probably bought some of the last of it, unless there's some stash I don't know about or they revived production.

I fear the same fate for still photographers. I also understand that new Polaroid has ceased to be.

yeah, I agree. I suppose someone has a stash of S8 in a warehouse or closet somewhere. Wonders never cease, though, I used to find crazier things hoarded away by people in Kentucky.

Polaroid 600 film is still pretty available, and the price has spiked.
I have a couple of packs left, but even at $4-$5 cheaper, it was still too expensive to stockpile.
