Her 20th Christmas [468]
Hold-up a second. Hear me out:
I struggled a long time whether to post any pictures of this young woman that appears to have Downs, or some other disability.
I felt that this was a respectful representation of the 20+ year record I have found, documenting every birthday, every christmas, every trip to Disney...
All photographed by what appears to be a very loving, decent family, neighbors and friends.

Step Right Up, Folks! Gravity Kills!
Found. (Photographer Unknown) Olean, or Niagara Falls, New York. c. 1912-1917
When I bought this in a hurry last week, I saw the photographer and the camera, but not the crazy "Gravity Kills" Carny ride in motion until today when I scanned it. Packed full of folks, it's a sight to behold. This is the predecessor to the "Tilt-A-Whirl" that still is around I'm sure.
My FIrst Record "Hey Jude" B-side: "Revolution"
via: GoNzO
45 rpm. B-side: Revolution
I've blogged this before, but I came across this sleeve on flickr, and well...
I played the fuck out of "Revolution" and even took it to school. Didn't go over very well.
Meat And Potatoes, Please (Tintype-Photographer Unknown)
Found. Florida, 22.4.09. (Photographer Unknown)
At first I thought this to be too ridiculous to be authentic, but the folks I checked with feel that it's probably legit.
Any thoughts as to the age?

God Was All Around Ina
Found. (Photographer Unknown)
Obviously, God was looking over Ina. Or standing beside her. Or, in the window.
Eventually, I'll have a set over yonder on The Flickr, for this young woman, (and her dad), because there is 20 years of goodness documented here.
Also, I have founded a humble little Group, dedicated to found photos of people with exceedingly expressive Eyes. Won't you join, or take a look?

Les Cooper And The Soul Rockers "Wiggle Wobble" (1962)
Les Cooper and His Combo, I reckon before he busted-out with the "Soul Rockers".
Found: (Photographer Unknown)
You MUST, unless of course you are, (usually), way, way, ahead of me:
"Wiggle Wobble" (1962)
Some Brothers In Arms (1985)
One of the rare times when I was bored and didn't have to work, I got this out and printed it on some outdated 16X20 Ilford paper. I was surprised at how well it held up.
Some day I'm gonna buy me a Leitz Focomat. Then I'm gonna sit right down on my porch, and file the edges of the negative carriers so I can get that full-frame goodness.

Bob Dylan: Barack Obama, U.S. Grant And Civil War Ghosts
"Feel A Change Comin' On"
Bill Flanagan: "There is a certain sensibility, but I’m not sure how that connects?"
Bob Dylan: "It must be the Southern air. It’s filled with rambling ghosts and disturbed spirits. They’re all screaming and forlorning. It’s like they are caught in some weird web - some purgatory between heaven and hell and they can’t rest. They can’t live, and they can’t die. It’s like they were cut off in their prime, wanting to tell somebody something. It’s all over the place. There are war fields everywhere … a lot of times even in people’s backyards."
Bill Flanagan: (...)"But the album is all about love – love found, love lost, love remembered, love denied."
Bob Dylan: "Inspiration is hard to come by. You have to take it where you find it."
